WELCOME A friendly family-run Guesthouse offering Bed and Breakfast in Whitby, North Yorkshire
Situated on Whitby's popular West Cliff, the award-winning Riviera Guesthouse, offers ideal en-suite accommodation with stunning panoramic views over the North Sea. The views stretch from Whitby Harbour Entrance across the sea to the next bay (Sandsend).
Having the sea views, the peaceful area and the close proximity to town, the Riviera is in the most sought after location in Whitby.
The majority of our rooms are sea-facing and all have en-suite facilities, LCD TV's, refreshment trays and large white fluffy towels. Our breakfast dining rooms have 'floor to ceiling' Bay Windows with stunning sea views - a fantastic environment to fill your tummy (cooked and continental breakfast is included in the room rate).
Our guest house is only a stones throw away from the beach and within walking distance of the town with it’s vibrant fishing harbour, beautiful and unique shops, restaurants, and tourist attractions (e.g. Captain Cooks Museum, the Dracula Experience and Whitby Abbey with it's famous 199 steps). You can also catch the Open-Top Tour Bus from the end of the street (timetable can be obtained from reception). Each ticket allows you to ‘hop-on’ and ‘hop-off’ at different areas of Whitby throughout the whole day.
The Riviera is situated opposite Whitby Pavillion/Spa where many events are held throughout the year.
Our commitment to guest satisfaction has been recognised by receiving various awards from TripAdvisor, LateRooms, Trivago and others. Our most recent awards are TripAdvisor’s 'Travellers Choice' 2020 and 'Best Seaview Guesthouse 2019' awarded by the Travel & Hospitality Awards. We really look forward to continuing to uphold our standards in the months and years to come.
The Riviera is a family-run establishment, being passed on to its second generation, and continues to uphold its brilliant reputation and fantastic, friendly service. We look forward to welcoming you to stay with us in this beautiful area of the country.
